Starting a candle business was literally an answer to prayer.

I was experiencing an emptiness after retiring from a 30 year elementary teaching career. I was feeling without a sense of meaning, contribution and challenge in my day. I prayed about what I was experiencing. More quickly than some prayers are answered, I was given the prompting to start my candle business.

Although the idea had never entered my mind, taking into consideration my life long love of candles, and a name (Lucia - that means 'light'), it all made sense! This inspired direction, and the passion I continue to feel towards it, have been a gift.

I appreciate creating classy candles for others to enjoy. I love connecting with customers and getting to know you. I'm even happy to collaborate if you have a scent you love and haven't been able to find it. I value the growth and challenge of having this endeavor.

It is a privilege to use Be Still Candle Co. as a vehicle to have a positive impact.
